Beautiful, very private 2-bedroomed Villa (sleeps 4), in La Garde Freinet with stunning views
through the only passage between the Argens valleys, down to the Gulf of St. Tropez and the Mediterranean beyond (altitude 478m).An exceptional panoramic view of the Pre-Alps, the wooded landscapes of the Massif de Maures and the Mediterranean sea.


Situated on 2 ha of forested mountain side (oaks, chestnuts and pines) approximately 1 km from the lively village, with a number of restaurants, bars, butchers, bakers and mini supermarkets. A market on Sundays and Wednesdays. There is a public Swimming Pool in the village. Wonderful walks through the forests.

  • All Rooms on level Ground. Floors are tiled, some with Rugs.

La Garde Freinet is a small, picturesque Provencal hill-top village steeped in history. It is situated on a long narrow ledge of a pass, overlooked by rocky peaks with the ruins of an ancient Saracen Fort and a great view out over the Massif de Maures in all directions. It is an ideal location for a peaceful and relaxing holiday.
The village is well positioned for excursions to the various towns and beaches of Provence and the Cote Azur as well as to the mountainous hinterland with beautiful villages, the Gorge du Verdon (The Grand Canyon of France and Lac St Croix.

There are a number of Golf Courses in the area.

La Garde-Freinet is a medieval-style town sitting on a long narrow ledge of a pass, overlooked by high rocky peaks with the ruins of the ancient fort, the cross, and a great view out over the Maures in all directions. This is a pleasant town, with lots of shops, restaurants and such.

Fly to Nice, Marseilles or Toulon then take taxi or hire car - just over 1hr from Nice or Marseilles airport.

Take TGV to Marseilles, Aix en Provence, Draguinan, Les Arcs or Nice and then by taxi or car

Car from autoroute take turning signposted to La Garde Freinet, and follow road, approximately 20 minutes.

Just 13 kilometers north of the Mediterranean sea in the Bay of Saint-Tropez, and 18 kilometers south of the Autoroute du Soleil, which takes you to the mondaine pleasures of Antibes, Cannes or Monaco, lies the Provence village of La Garde-Freinet (see map). In fact, if, en route to a film festival or the baccarat tables, you decide to try a disco in Saint-Tropez, you will most likely pass by La Garde-Freinet.

At an altitude of 350 meters, La Garde-Freinet posts itself as a mediator between two worlds. On the one hand it is part of the everyday working life in Provence as reflected in the north, on the other it flirts with the artistic and extravagance of the south.
